Beaverton | Overcoming Stress
Everyone is “stressed out.” The stress of modern life a big topic these days, and how it leads
to illness, anxiety, even depression. As our world becomes, in many ways, less tolerant and
more polarized, and as disagreements seem to arise easily, people are reporting that
already high stress levels are moving even higher!
Buddha’s teachings answer a lot of questions for us about stress that are essential to
understand if we are to overcome it. What does it mean to be “stressed out”? Which begs
another question: What is stress? Is our modern understanding of stress correct? And if
not, how can we understand what it is and, most importantly, what we can do about it?
Join us for a five-week course that will help you not only understand stress but apply
Buddhist wisdom to surmount it.
