Making Personal Change: The Five Forces that Lead to Happiness
Many of us want to make personal change. Perhaps we want to better control our thoughts, or to put aside worry, or to improve our ability to focus. Buddha teaches these are some of the ways we can become happier—and who doesn’t want that?
But these kinds of internal changes can be tough to make, especially in a lasting way. We might be able to for an hour or a day, but forever?
Buddha teaches that success in our practice depends on five conditions, known as the “five forces,” conditions that we can cultivate to help our spiritual practice strengthen and grow. In this five-week series, we’ll look at, and meditate on, each of the five forces.
