FOR MORE INFORMATION ON OUR SUNDAY MORNING, MONDAY MORNING AND SATURDAY DROP-IN CLASSES PLEASE SEE BELOW
Sunday Mornings 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
With our Resident Teacher, Kadam Heather
May 31st – June 14th: Letting go of stress
Although modern life is full of stressful situations, we do not have to get sucked into the whirlwind.
Instead of feeling frustrated when we face difficulties, we can learn to cultivate a strong and stable mind that can respond to everything in a constructive way: then we find ourselves in the eye of the storm. The chaos may continue to swirl around us, but our peace of mind is unaffected. Each class will include two guided meditations and a talk.
Monday Mornings 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
With Buddhist Teacher, James Jacoby
June 1st – July 20th: How to Transform Your Life
Learn practical advice for daily life. In this series we will learn how we can develop and maintain inner peace, how we can reduce and stop our experience of problems, and how we can bring about positive changes in our life that will enable us to experience deep and lasting happiness.”Whenever we practice Dharma with a patient mind, we are practicing the patience of definitely thinking about Dharma” -Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Saturday Mornings 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Advanced Drop-in classes
With our Resident Teacher, Kadam Heather
June 6th, 13th, 27th and July 4th, 11th and 18th
Have you been attending our drop-in classes for a while and want to go deeper but are not quite ready for Foundation Program? Try our advanced drop in classes (Advanced GP) on Saturday mornings starting in June.
In our advanced drop-in class we will be studying the book “Eight Steps to Happiness”. Composed by the great Tibetan Bodhisattva Geshe Langri Tangpa, this short poem shows how we can transform all life’s difficulties into valuable spiritual insights. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso now shares this ancient wisdom with all those seeking meaning and lasting happiness in their modern lives. Classes include guided meditations, prayers and the study of this precious text.

To access the Sunday morning class with Kadam Heather or the Monday morning class with James here are the instructions:
Method #1: Through your computer
Click on https://zoom.us/j/4534628305?pwd=OG5Bd3NUamdEUlBSWWRGUmQ0SS8zZz09. You will get a few prompts, which you should answer in the affirmative (“OK”, “Accept”, etc.). The very first time you do it, you’ll end up at a prompt for a meeting ID – at that point, you can just come back to this email and click on the link again and you should be taken into the class. (Or if you wish, just type in 453 462 8305 for the meeting ID.)
Method #2: Through your smartphone, iPad or Android tablet
Download the free “Zoom Cloud Meetings” app on your smartphone or tablet
once you’ve installed it, start Zoom
tap Join a Meeting
enter the meeting ID “453 462 8305”
and password “826948”
tap Join with Video or Join without Video – your choice
tap Call using Internet Audio
Method #3: Via a phone call, from any phone
If you have free long distance on your phone plan, you can call in and experience an audio-only version of class. Here’s how:
dial: 1 669 900 9128
when prompted for a meeting ID, enter: 453 462 8305
when prompted for a password, enter 826948
when asked for a participant ID, just press ‘#’
While in class
It’s helpful to mute yourself while your just listening, because sometimes our mic may pick up some background noise. On the bottom left of your screen you should see a button to Mute/Unmute yourself. On your phone, you have to tap any place on the screen once to see the buttons.
No one should ever feel that they’re expected to turn on their camera, each person has total control to turn it on or off before they start the meeting and during it. The Start/Stop Video button is just to the right of the Mute/Unmute button. Feel free to control that however you wish, but I will say that it’s fun to see each others faces, especially in these times when we’re necessarily more isolated.
