Mahassidha Kadampa Buddhist Center a volunteer run, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is completely supported through class fees and donations. We rely on the financial support of our local community to continue to make Dharma available to the people of Oregon, Hawaii, and Vancouver, WA. Another wonderful way to contribute to the center, and enjoy the vast benefits of our meditation classes, is to become a member!
Mahasiddha Kadampa Buddhist Center in Portland, Oregon (USA) is a Kadampa Buddhist Center with a full time Resident Teacher that was founded by Venerable Geshe-la in 1997. In the last year our community has grown quite a bit. We have been working to spread precious Kadam Dharma throughout Portland and Oregon. At present we are renting a space that is no longer suitable for us. We need a larger area so that more people can meet this precious unsurpassed path.
Now is the time to establish a Kadampa Temple in Oregon. Our wish is to provide a beautiful Center that has a larger meditation room, space for children’s classes and a general meeting area with a kitchen and dining area. Essentially, we are trying to buy a place that will serve as a source of peace and refuge for all the people of Portland and Oregon.
We are continuing to search for a suitable property, and fundraising has begun within our Sangha. As a down payment, we need to raise a minimum of $100,000 (EUR 77,525). If you would like to help by making a donation you will be creating wonderful causes for the people of Portland to find peace and happiness through receiving the precious teachings of Kadam Dharma.
